Larix kaempferi [Japanese larch]

Habit: Large tree, 25-30 m high.
Needles: Blue-green, 20-35m m long, separately, spirally arranged on the long shoots, in dense cluters of 30-40 needles on the short shoots.
Flower: Yellow male flowers; yellow-green female flowers with overhanging purple-edged scales.

Site: Sun resistant to frost, no special requirements regarding the soil composition.
Use: Solitary, hedge, forestry
